Ok, it is prdiction time. How do you all think Alex Smith do as a starter this sunday against a pretty decent Eagles D# and for the rest of the season.

He is gonna get sacked a lot. Jennings is out of the game and his replacement has to block Dwight Frenney. I just dont think Alex Smith has enough of a supporting cast

Alex Smith wont do anything against the colts defense and probably get shut out.

I expect Smith to look like the rookie he is, I can't see him doing very well against the Colts D.

I hate games like this. They always turn into "trap games." Smart money is on Smith being a deer in the headlights and choking big on Sunday. But every year in the NFL, some completely superior team shows up and lays an egg against someone really crappy. The Colts need to be carefuly they don't get caught napping here.

I'll play it safe, though, and say Smith stinks it up and the Colts win big.

PA, I was thinking the same thing. The other problem that the Colts are going to have is the fact that they don't know how to gameplan against Smith, necessarily. He hasn't played at all, so gameplanning against him is difficult.

I still think the Colts are just too tough, though. I think Rodgers will get his shots, but he'll still look like a rookie.

But the Colts have an excellent D-line. They usually pull the DE's out and drop the linebackers into coverage. So they will have good coverage. Plus, the 49ers recievers aren't that famous for making TD's ever since TO left.

The Colts win big, that 49er secondary is flat out horrible. Even if 49ers managed to put up 40 points they would still lose because the colts would score like 50

Yeah i agree, he will show some signs of potential I think and maybe hook up with Brandon lloyd for one big gain, maybe 30-40 yards!

Regardless of the outcome, the 49'ers sure played a scrappy game!
