according to the news of the world, sundays issue, the premiership in a few years time will turn inot the old firm, and will not be challegneful, chelsea and man utd will turn nito the celtic and rangers of enlish football, and will be a one sided season aall the time, please post your thoughts on this... -DragonSlayer
Hasn't the Premiership ALWAYS been a two horsed race? I struggle to remember a season where there were three outright contenders for the title, from start of season to finish. I know why, because there wasn't one.
i think thats shite... aresholes have just had a bad season and liverpool will always be up there. if romaknob wasnt sack happy then i think we'd have lost the league last season.
chelsea could slip off IF abramovich leave's or if mourinho leave's, united could slip off, you never know whats gonna happen nowadays with football. especially with liverpool getting the new owners and once this aresenal teams mature's a bit there gonna be a lot better.
Once the true financial restrictions kick in at United they are gonna be in deeeeeeeeeep shit. Glazer is going to have to start paying back next year so players will have to be sold to pay off the interest. With Liverpool getting new investment and Arsenal looking that way and Chelsea's got their sugar daddy, it could be United that struggle in the next few years. Season ticket prices have just gone up again at Man Ure and the sell out crowds could be a thing of the past. It wasn't sold out for their AC Milan semi this week so if their not selling out for that ,who knows what may happen?
No one can match the Old Firm... NO ONE! its not a case of we battle to win the league its more than that... Religion is involved etc

Only the fans make it an issue at OF games.
ok well I'll say atmosphere... Dont even say anything unless you have been to one... also its one of the biggest rivalies in the world in football.
no worries, the Americans are showing up to save English football...lol...my boi Glazer raised up ticket prices!!!! leave it to an American to raise prices..its what we do best..lol

Newspapers are mediocre and talk crap. The old firm is mainly about the fans. Would chelsea and Man Utd fans stab each other? I think not. Although when deciding who to support it goes on religion but tbh I don't think either are religous otherwise they'd live in piece. Man Utd going in debt: Man Utd will not have any problems in that area. If glazer couldn't pay it back, the banks wouldn't have loaned him the money would they? Winning te league + getting far in competitions has only helped. By the way to whoever posted about always a 2 horse race. I think it was around 2002 where it was Newcastle, Arsenal and Man Utd until near the end we got beat off man utd and that put us more or less out of the title race.

A good time to bury bad news as they say. On 1 of the local NW radio stations the other day A Fc United of Manchester fan was on talking about it. He was saying the Glazers are falling behind with the payments hence the 14% rise in season ticket prices. Also if you want a ST at OT you now have to commit yourself to going to all the cup games as well. The are now ?130 mil in debt as well as the ?700+mil they "borrowed" for the club as well. So everything isn't rosy. There is serious repercussions to come at that club, mark my words.
