I like this rankings for laughs. It's really funny how the writer thinks that Miami will have chemistry problems, then don't hesitate to say dynasty regarding the Spurs' signing of Van Exel and Finley, then have the Suns second in the whole NBA.

How in the world could the Cavaliers be better than the Rockets? There could be room for debate if the Cavs have already signed a PG like Damon Jones, but right now their incumbent is Eric Snow, and their lack of outside shooting is still a concern.

Having the Grizzlies tenth and applauding West's offseason is basically ludicrous. Although Memphis did get Stoudamire, Jackson and Jones, they lost Jason Williams, Earl Watson, Stromile Swift, James Posey and basically are weakened from last year's eighth place team in the West.

The Wizards (21), Jazz (24) and Knicks (24) are all too low for my liking.

Indiana in front of Detroit and Miami? I beg to differ.

wow that rank of teams is blatantly wrong. Its pretty funny how they put Heat lower because of chemistry problems then call Spurs a dynasty like Trip said. And the Suns are definitely not second best team in the NBA.

Out of all the players you mentioned, only Earl Watson was truly a positive for the Grizzlies last year. By getting rid of all the immaturity and negative energy that Wells, Williams, Swift, and Posey brought to the table, they should be more successful, especially considering that they're bringing in three solid veterans, which is something the Grizzlies have never really had. You have to realize that as long as the Grizzlies have their core (Pau Gasol, Shane Battier, and Mike Miller), they'll be one of the top teams in the NBA. While I don't think that the Grizzlies will be the tenth best team in the league, I'm tired of everyone cutting them short, especially arrogant Rockets fans who seem to have proclaimed themselves one of the top teams in the West (not you specifically Trip, but in general). If anything, the Heat, Kings, and Rockets just took on the liabilities that held the Grizzlies down last year.

Cleveland is the definition of overhyped. They will be a playoff team, but not top 7. If your a top 7 team in the NBA, your elite, or almost elite. I can't say that about Cleveland.

These rankings are kind of weird. How can you put the Pacers higher than Pistons and Heat. I think Jazz is a better team than they are being ranked. I also don't understand how the Nuggets and TWolves can be higher than the Nets. In my opnion these standings aren't that good.

These rankings are just laughable. I can't wait until the season starts and proves them all wrong. I think the Knicks at #25 is especially ridiculous.

I tend to agree with the Miami ranking. Antoine Walker is not going to help that team as much as most people think it will, and his loss won't hurt the Celtics that much as either. JWill and the Heat's other acquisitions I'm less certain about.

Phoenix definitely helped themselves more than Miami did because their improved board work will help them run at least as often as they did in the past while reducing their opponents' running opportunities. Not to mention that none of their additions don't overrate their offensive abilities the way Walker overrates his.

Need I add that I think my Celtics should be higher than 19 even though I'm not expecting Banner 17 this year, or is that already obvious?

The Pacers were a better team than the Pistons before they lost Artest and the rest of the crew at the brawl. Now they're bringing back Artest, they're bringing in one of the top five rookies in the NBA (personal opinion; no need to go off topic and argue that), and they're bringing in Sarunas Jasikevicius from Europe who could even end up starting for them. As for the Heat, this writer obviously doesn't buy into the concept that putting the best talent on the floor gets your the best results. He probably doesn't think that Walker and Williams will help the chemistry of the team. That's perfectly understandable. I disagree, but I'm not about to discredit these rankings completely.

Of course you do; you're a Knicks fan. I personally can't see them having a better season than Utah or Orlando though.

I am a diehard fan of the Knicks, but them being at 25th seems a bit farfetched. The Knicks weren't even the 5th worst team in the league last season and they improved more this off-season.

By giving away a consistent Kurt Thomas for another three point chucker. Yep, thats improvement.

An old, aging, Kurt Thomas for Richardson who was told by Phoenix to go out and shoot three's and also for Nate Robinson who played well in the Summer League so far. Also, why are you neglecting other improvements?

I feel that the Knicks haven't changed and won't have a good season. Do you really that the Knicks will have a good season and be a playoff team. I don't.

These rankings are always a great laugh.

I would like to know how they ranked the Heat at #5. The Spurs should definatly get the #1 spot due to the fact that they haven't lost any players on their previous roster and have gained Finley. The Heat have a staced roster and should be able to plow through the leauge. I don't see how they ranked them lower than the Pacers, Pistons and Suns. And The Celtics #19 behind The Bucks?! The Bucks drafted Bogut and everyone acts like Bogut will carry the team into the playoffs. The Celtics have a much better roster at this point.

These rankings are horrible. The Heat being ranked #5 pretty much sums up how good these rankings are.

actually, i think that the pacers are better than the heat at this point. they added a 5-tool player, replaced reggie, and get an MVP-caliber player back.

Obviously the heat fan boys are pissed anout this ranking , but the fact is the heat should be at #3 at most. The heat has a bunch of names, but no one knows how all those egos will mesh, there's a chance they could do worst then last year. The heat team right now is a qustion mark.

The Heat fan boys...actaully its better if you call us normal Loyal Heat Fans [IMG]

The team might be a question mark but still they were number 5 that aint right. Many other teams got new players but no one is questioning if theyre chemistry will work.
