Both teams will have to create pressure in order to win this game. The offenses in this game are far too explosive. I expect this to be a high scoring game as well.
The key is going to be protection. I have a hunch both teams will blitz a lot to try and force the others QB's into making mistakes. Whoever handles the blitz better might just end up making the difference in the end. Although I do kind of think Dallas has the better big play threat and that also might make a huge difference. Depends if GB can contain it.
I think the pressure is going to work both ways. The Cowboys are obviously going to go after Rodgers. They have a great pass rush and they're playing an inexperienced QB, it only makes sense to go after him early and often and try to get him rattled.
Well, the flip side to bringing pressure will be pass protection. So yes, it will come down to protecting our respective QBs. FWIW, we have yet to give up a sack. Of course, playing the Browns is hardly a good barometer... but giving up 0 sacks against Philly is quite the endeavor.
The Packers are able to stop the run fairly well, so I think the key to this game will be to double and triple team TO and make guys like Patrick Crayton and Jason Witten beat you. The Packers also need to avoid the endless string of turnovers that have haunted them for the past 15 years every time we've played in Dallas. Hopefully Rodgers won't be as awestruck by Big D as Favre always seemed to be.
