<div align="center"> @ Minnesota Timberwolves (12-9) @ Washington Wizards (7-14)</div> Friday, December 12th, 7:30 pm EST MCI Center, Washington Interesting Note: Minnesota has a better record, yet sit 6th in their division while Washington sits 4th. <div align="center">Probable Starters Evin Johnson | Etan Thomas Kevin Garnett | Christian Laettner Latrell Sprewell | Jarvis Hayes Trenton Hassell | Larry Hughes Sam Cassell | Steve Blake</div> Player To Watch: <font size="1">Kevin Garnett</font> Garnett play has been real big in the recent games. He has become unstopable late in games hitting 3s, grabbing key boards and making the right decisions. Washington lacks the big man to match up with Garnett. Kwame lacks the intellegence to counter Garnett while Laettner lacks the athleticsim to keep up with Garnett. Expect a big night numbers wise from KG. Injurys: Minnesota: Wally Szczerbiak, Troy Hudson, Mark Madsen, Michael Olowokandi* Washington: Jerry Stackhouse, Gilbert Arenas <font size="1">*denotes coach's decision</font> Keys To The Game: <u>Minnesota:</u> Minnesota can play the slow game better than Washington, and can run better than Washington. The key for Minnesota will just to play their game plan that Flip sets up. Do not get careless and get caught up in how bad Washington really is and become lazy. <u>Washington:</u> There is no way Washington can match Garnett with 1 man. Washington's game plan should be to let Garnett get his, and try to keep Latrell Sprewell and/or Sam Cassell to below average numbers and force Fred Hoiberg or Gary Trent to pick up the slack. Also Washington must get off to an early start, and not fall to far behind. <font color="Green">purehoops</font> Prediction: T'Wolves by double digits. Washington lacks the fire power to keep up with Minnesota's big 3, and lack the defensive ability to stop Garnett.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting InNETSweTrust:</div><div class="quote_post">This would be a blowout for the Wolves. PROVIDED, that they don't let Larry score at will.</div> That is why I think Trenton Hassell will get the start once again... and will concentrate soley on Hughes.

But Garnett is plenty to draw the attention.

The Wolves have way to much firepower for the Wizards. Without Arenas and Stackhouse, they are pretty much junk. I see the Wolves winning this one by 10 or more.
This should be an easy one for the Wolves, as long sa they don't play down to the Wizards level. If the T-Wolves lose this, it'll be because of them and not the Wizards. Garnett should put up some mad stats.
A lil update... Gilbert Arenas was reported on the local radio, that he practiced with the squad last night and might play in the game. Ill find out when I get to the game.
I didn't get to watch because of a high school basketball game, but it looks like the Wolves did good. Cassell led all scorers with 25 points, Garnett in second with 23, and Sprewell in third with 21. Cassell and Sprewell also led the game in assists with 7 apiece. Arenas played a little, scoring 9. Garnett tore up the boards with 16. That means Garnett leads the league in rebounds per game with 14. http://www.nba.com/games/20031212/MINWAS/boxscore.html http://www.nba.com/games/20031212/MINWAS/recap.html
Can You Twolve people please vote for Sam Cassell. He giving you 18.7ppg(& rising) & 7.4 ast(4th in the league) & shooting above 48% from the field. And he is havin a better year than basicly every point guard in the West including Francis & Nash(who are the 2 leading point payton might be in the mix to I dont remember). I dont see how you people fell fit to vote for Francis & nash when you have a guy putting up those kind of # on your own team. Cassell is the main reason(other than KG) why your team is even still in the mix while players like Kandiman, Hudson, Wally have stayed on the injuried list. I know Sprewell is a big part too, but his play has been extremely streaky. You people need to apreciate what Sam is giving you & get out there and sport Sam by voting for him. You people should be ashamed to have Sam so low in the polls!!!!!!!!!!
First of all Henacy... we are only individual people... you go vote for Sam Cassell. We do apperciate sam. What a great game, from a Timberwolves stand point. I really enjoyed myself at the game. The first quarter was great. The Wolves showed how dominate they can be over a weaker team like Washington. They were killing em at both ends of the floor in every possible way. They went through Garnett, Sam Cassell was posting up. Latrell was knocking them down. Even Trenton Hassell was hitting a few shots. One major thing I noticed is, is how 'agressive' Latrell Sprewell is... Garnett seemed to call for the ball at least 5 times during the game from Spree, but Spree decided to take it himself and probably missed 4/5 times. Garnett is such a great defensive player... the guy altered about 10 shots during the game coming off his defender. He had a few good blocks. Overall I was really impressed... it wasnt his best game. But I sure enjoyed myself.

You know if that was anyone else purehoops post would of been edited like -No personal attacks please-.Sasha's post was deleted because of what it stated.
