<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Word is former Cavaliers point-guard great Mark Price will quietly slip into town this Tuesday to audition for the analyst job on the team's Fox Sports Net Ohio cable telecasts. Price is the lead candidate to replace Matt Guokas, who recently was dropped as Cavs analyst for numerous reasons, including: No 1. A belief by team management that Guokas is too objective and neutral during broadcasts, and doesn't wave the "Go, Cavs, Go" banner enough. No. 2. The wife of a major Cavs decision-maker reportedly didn't like how Guokas questioned moves made by head coach Paul Silas last season. No. 3. The team prefers to have a former Cavs player doing the cable analysis, especially one linked to the franchise's glory years during the late 1980s to mid-1990s. Price was a Cavs star from 1986 to 1995, and the team retired his No. 25 jersey in 1999. Price, part 2: How good are the former star's chances of becoming the FSN Ohio analyst and joining play-by-play man Michael Reghi? A source says just about the only way Price won't get the gig is if he's "totally incoherent" during his audition. The Cavs have been looking to fill Guokas' spot since Craig Ehlo, another former Cav, turned down the analyst job. </div> My Sizource Man, this would be great for Cleveland fans to see. We absolutly LOVE this man! I hope he gets the job. Thoughts?
I read that too this morning. It's nice to have former players bcome analysts, especially fan favorites.
I only got to see Marky Marky and his funky bunch a couple of times because I was really young when he was around, all I know is that he was my favorite player and that he still is one of my most favorite players of all time. I hope that he gets the job so much
