Prince's Back Slow to Heal

Pistons forward Tayshaun Prince won't even think about returning until he begins having consecutive pain-free days with his injured back (ruptured disk). He also says there is no timetable to return.

"We did not talk about it," Prince told The Detroit News. "Nobody has talked about it. It is a situation where they are putting me in position to feel good in consecutive days, rather than being up and down."

Prince spoke with a number of NBA players and they told him not to return too quickly from the back injury.

"It is a situation where (the injury) can keep coming back," Prince said. "This is definitely a situation where I have to take my time, and it is frustrating because the team is not doing well right now and you want to jump out there and help them. At the same time, you have to be patient."
