On a different board, somebody was saying how he said You Suck to a baseball player, and a lady stood up and yelled at the guy.I was saying that was stupid of the lady, and she needed to get over it. Somebody said oh I bet you don't want F bombs dropped around your kids when you have them. To which I said...Oh no not the F bomb!!I would seriously not care in the LEAST bit. Why would I? What makes kids so special that they can't hear a stupid word that society had deemed to be unacceptable? It's just a word. What is it going to do to them? Can you honestly say you've never used the F word in front of your kids? Can you say that they've never heard the word in their life? They are going to hear the word in their lives regardless. They will know the word. Explain to your kids that you don't want them saying the words if that is the reasoning for this. But as I said..it's not like they've never heard it before. There should be much bigger issues in the world then frickin profanity.I just get sick of people who think you are suppose to conform to what they think is right and wrong. if I want to have 4 beers, and cuss and have what I think is fun...then deal with it. If you wanna sit on your hands and memorize each play of the game, and write a 3 page column on it when you get home..then you do that do. We'll both do what makes us happy..but don't try and ruin my fun! What are your thoughts of similar types of situations?
My supervisor at work freaks out and yells at me or anyone that swears and it's annoying, she's yelled at me for saying 'pissed off' and she's said it herself, people like that are hypocritical and annoying, keep your opinions to yourself, I don't need the morality police yelling at me because you find a word 'unacceptable'. Get over it. I hate when people swear constantly, it's kind of trashy, but once and a while it's no big deal. My favorites. "What the fricken hell..." "Who gives a flying sh*t..." "Keep the bitches out of the bank, chech."
I think gratuitous swearing constantly has no point, but I don't see the problem with a well placed f bomb in context.

I try not to swear much, it's not pretty to see someone misusing their mouth so much. It's not nice either. But occasionally I don't mind it.

The only time I swear is when I do something wrong or something has gone wrong. I'd be like Aw sh*t! But when it comes to playing basketball, I swear quite a bit.
F*ck <---- much more noticeable.| I would actually curse more but I check my replies before I post sometimes.|I've been tryin to quit on that cursing sh*t.| well at least in REAL life.|
I swear alot in life. I dont try to but most of the men in my family were sailors so I inherited it I guess from my family.

It's a very profane word for that age, and it shouldn't be used until age 11 or 12...As a kid, you shouldn't be saying such rude language like that; it sort of just ruins innocense...and I know that I won't be dropping F-bombs around my kid when he is that young. At 15 it should be accepted by parents, but before that parents should probably tell their kids not to say it in my opinion.I remember the first time I said the F-word. It was in grade 3 or 4 and my mom wanted me to apologize to my brother for something...I think we were playing N64 and I screwed him up when he was trying to play...Anyway, I told him to go F*ck himself instead of apologizing...I didn't say it often until the 6th grade...

Come on CB4, your taking a stupid word too seriously. "Ruins innocence"...give me a break.
At that young of an age, you shouldn't be using profanity. In my opinion, it turns the kids into bad asses at too early of an age, and I think your kid has a better chance of being a really good kid if he doesn't get into that kind of language until he is atleast almost ready to mature.
