Now that he's playing shooting guard, what kind of numbers do you think Marbury will put up. He's already putting up 22 points playnig point guard so it won't be a stretch to think Marbury putting up something like: 39.0 mpg 26.1ppg 2.7rpg 5.0apg 46% FG% 37% 3P% 2.7 TO's 83% FT 1.7spg 0.1bpg
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MrJ:</div><div class="quote_post"> 26.1ppg</div> No. You are ridiculous.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sir Desmond:</div><div class="quote_post">No. You are ridiculous.</div> I really doubt he will average that much points. Maybe like 21 or 22 per game or just 20

He wont shoot 46 percent from the field cause he is normallly only about a .44, .45% shooter from the field and with the greenlight he will get at the two guard his shot selection will get a bit worst. And that wil effect his shooting % stats.
If he is moving to off guard, you have to factor in that he won't be handling the ball as much as when he was at the one and it will be someone else responsible for getting him the ball (a bit different to being a scoring point). Also, by bringing in Q for KT, you're bringing in someone who is going to demand more shots than Kurt.
Marbury is moving to shooting guard which is why I have averaging so many points. The 25-26 range isn't out of the question. Marbury is a great scorer and when you consider he averaged about 22 points as a point guard, thinking of him averaging 3-4 more points per game is not ridiculous. This time, he'll become a full time scorer. Q doesn't demand as many shots as Kurt. He only averages two more shot attempts per game than Kurt so that doesn't affect Marbury too much.

Someone who isnt much of a playmaker, so he wil bring the ball up & put it right into the hands of Marbury. So Marbury is going to be a Iverson type of 2-guard(when he plays the two) but with less points and more assist. But he will still dominate the basketball.
heh, Marbury would have a top 4 scoring ppg then. The only other players to average 26 ppg were Allen Iverson Kobe Bryant Lebron James Dirk Amare Those are 5 elite players, I don't think Marbury is in their class. Anyway, there are a few players eligible at SG (Marbury, Crawford, Q-Rich) Marbury scores well with the ball in his hands, I see Marbury's move to SG improving chemistry, but Marbury's stats decreasing some. His FG% might increase, which would give him one of the best FG%'s for a guard. I think he might drop to 18-20 ppg, he might get his FG% up to .47 or .48%.
I think he will average 26.1 or so. Coach Brown will run the offense through him. Starbury might go through a stretch of games where he averages 30 plus.
As amazing a player as Starbury is i really dont think he can average 26 points a game. I think he will get about 20 points and 6.7 assists.
26.0 PPG is possible, however it's highly unlikely. Marbury's new role is going to draw comparisons to AI, who averaged 31PPG when Brown was coaching him. However, Larry Brown realized that strategy didn't work, and he's tweaked his blueprint accordingly. In Detroit he preferred a balanced offensive attack and limited the shot attempts of his guards. This strategy worked and got the Pistons to the Finals twice. With the offensive capabilities the Knicks have, I expect Brown to run a similar offensive gameplan like he did in Detroit. I'm going to predict Marbury averaging around 19PPG & 9APG. Larry Brown will limit the shots taken by the Knicks because of the pace he likes to run. Marbury is a better passer than Iverson, and he has a better offensive supporting cast this year, so I expect his Assists to increase.
