The Aim is to find the leagues best SG, if I have missed anyone out, please say and they will be added. The or's will be decided by qualifiers. You will choose the person who you feel would be the best player at SG, e.g. Houston against Sprewell, you may think Spree is the better player but Houston the more effective at SG, so you'd vote for him, or vica versa. As I said though anyone I have missed out, please notify me before the tournement starts. (1) Kobe Bryant vs. Cuttino Mobley vs. Jason Terry Mike Finley vs. Michael Redd Doug Christie vs. Emmanuel Ginobilli Jalen Rose vs. Nick Van Exel Vince Carter vs.Quentin Richardson Allan Houston vs. Latrell Sprewell (4) Paul Pierce vs. Penny Hardaway (3) Allen Iverson Reggie Miller vs. Ricky Davis Rip Hamilton vs. Jason Richardson Wally Szczerbiak vs. Bonzi Wells Jerry Stackhouse vs. Kerry Kittles Ray Allen vs. Penny Hardaway Eddie Jones vs. Stephen Jackson (2) Tracy McGrady
I think this would be impossible. People would argue about how is a SG and who isn't because the fact is that there really aren't set positions anymore. There are the hyrbid SG/SF types (as well as PG/SG types like Jason Terry) that people will argue about all the time.
Sunsfan, the question remains, who would play better at SG, which is down to the individual, which is the point of the poll. J-Mac, you feel JRich should be added, if anyone agrees, I'll be happy to put him into a qualifier, any other names I have missed/ommitted, please feel free to post. Tom
Sorry, your right it isn't clear. What I am trying to imply at the top, is that if you don't agree with the position, you choose who you believe to be the best player in that position. As with the Houston, Sprewell thing. Sorry for any confusion. I feel PP is a SG, as he does everything the SG does and he starts in the same side as Eric Williams, who is much more of an SF, but that is my opinion.
Interesting theory, Swich Daddy, it would be interesting to see that match up, but it will also be interesting to see the other match ups
What makes him a SF, compared to Carter, Raptors, or T-Mac or Kobe, what is different about his game? And why is he listed SG on ESPN.com
hes 230 he likes to post up alot hes a great rebounder I also consider vince carter a small forward though.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "SwishDaddy34":</div><div class="quote_post">VC Should be ranked instead of Pierce</div> Even if Pierce was an SG that isnt true... Pierce has been way better than VC the past couple years... injury or not... your baseing that on favoritism... Pierce is an Small because he can shoot, drive, and he has a post up game... plus Eric Williams an SG to me
But he plays SG for the Celts (he will be in the SF as well, providing he doesn't win this one - which is quite possible)
no vc should nt be ranked hes is better when healthy . Peirce is better as of now but wont be next season.
