I'm getting an 80gb PS3 in 3-4 weeks and i'm not sure what games to get. All of my friends currently play COD4 online but i really don't like that game and it's pretty old now. I'll probably get SOCOM Confrontation when it comes out in October and it comes with a bluetooth headset. Other than that, what game/games would you get? My friends also play MGS4, but i've never played any MGS games. Gran Turismo 5 and Warhawk look like really good games, i can borrow Warhawk from my friend and see how it is.
I bet a lot of people will jump off COD4 when Socom comes out, so I'd stick with that. Do you like sports games? NBA2K is always good, Madden is pretty good this year, too. I heard MGS was a really good game, but it's not the type of game I like. My friends who enjoys those games all rave about it.
I really like the NHL series from EA Sports for the PS3. Assassin's Creed was fun and you can get it at a low price now that it is a part of the greatest hits collection.
I forgot all about the sports games. I might get NBA 2K9 when it's out. Though i was thinking of getting an older game since i don't want to spend 60$ but getting 2K8 now seems dumb. I'm definitely getting SOCOM when it comes out though since my friends will switch from COD4
It is decent, but I would get one of the under: COD5 Resistance 2 Fifa 09 Mecrcs 2 NHL 09 need for speed (latest one)

I'm pretty sure a different company is making COD5 and IW will make COD6, so I'd just skip 5 and go to 6.
Well it's going to be a while before 6 is released. You never know; COD5 could be a great game, or a huge failure. Of course I'll check out the reviews before I even think of purchasing it.
Yea the companys take turns at doing them, and the last one seems to be doing better in creating the games, but like you joker I will not buy it straight away.
