Mainly to play simple games like Street Fighter 4 and basketball. Don't play involved games...sports, action, blah blah blah. PS3 has Blue-ray Xbox360 is cheaper and has netflix on demand
netflix doesnt let you have new releases. its a sweet feature, but the movie selection is not the best
I'm saying PS3. But if your only playing a few games and stuff then I would say it's based on price and how the controller feels. Some people hate XBOX controllers, some hate PS3 controllers. PS3 also has the playstation store, so you can download demo's and stuff for absolutely no money. Online play is also free for every game. I read somewhere that they are having problems creating PS3 games because none of the devlopers had scene technology like this, so Sony sent out people to developers to show them how ot use it. I read from one article that only about 15 percent of the PS3 capabilities have been unlocked.
yeah, leaning towards the Xbox....don't watch that many movies either...no HDTV right now....dunno if I'd buy a bunch of blu-ray....... not sure if i need the hard drive or not.......its an extra 100 bucks.
The Ps3 hands down. One of my best friends was a huge microsoft fanboy and finally got a PS3 as a christmas present, and he absolutely loves the sony. Blu-ray, free online, PS Home, MSG4, sony is the way to go. Xbox also has the RROD that everyone pretty much gets. Oh yeah it has a 3 year warranty for the RROD, but who wants to send their system in for weeks.
yes hard drive, you will need to buy a memory card if not, they are 512 mb for 50 dollars!!! FUCKING RIP OFF, hard drive is by far your only option, whether you buy one seperately or on ebay is up to you.
I'm full PS3 all the way... but I cannot believe you tried to use PS Home as a selling point. That thing is the most embarrassing thing ever.
360 FTW TBH, yes you have to pay for the online service but you get a better general experience while online and as already said it has a superior game selection with exception to MGS4 and Gran Turismo 5
? IT's only in Beta mode right now. You can see it has the potential to be huge, and it's basically like "2nd life" or whatever. It's hilarious watching guys hit on chicks and fucking with them by dancing in the middle of their convos and seeing the douchebags actually get mad. Bowling, theatres, pool and arcade games aren't that bad either.
got a PS3 for christmas, finally hooked it up to the 1080p and watched the dark knight on Blu-Ray, all i can say is WOW! i'm alot like you ADP, just looking for a couple shootem-ups and mainly sports but the BR is worth the extra 150 or so. about the only thing the 360 has going for it is the game library, but it sounds like any game you'd want is on both platforms.
Love my PS3... Have not used the Blu-Ray yet though. No point because I don't have a HDTV yet. Will soon then I will probably like the whole system even more. I do plan on getting an X-Box too. But have always liked the Play Station Systems more so decided to go with this one first.
PS3, I went through 6 Xbox 360s since launch, they were loud and fail and the paid internet was not as great as people say, many games were laggy even though they only allow Broadband. I finally sold the 360 on ebay and bought a ps3. The PS3 is quiet, reliable, getting way better games now, not including Blu-Ray, PS3 Home is going to be big some may find it gay but reality is its growing, Free Internet and fast (long as u have it at home), and much more.
Get both or all three! PS3 is great for Blu-RAY, and some future games, but I enjoy the 360 for console gaming specifically. then the Wii is good for like Wii-Fit, and some other sporting games
