Lee Purdy hopes successfully defending his British welterweight crown against Craig Watson this weekend will book a return clash against Denton Vassell. Colchester’s Purdy narrowly lost on points to Vassell in a Commonwealth title challenge last year, but in April shocked Watson to become British champion. On Saturday (July 16) he bids to prove his fifth round stoppage win against Watson was no fluke in a rematch at Oldham Sports Centre.
