Yes another Ricky thread, i have know heard he only wants to play for 1 season.... with that said if he struggles 1 game with whoever his new team is he will be benched!!!!!!!!!!! I bet the Phin fans are hoping for a nice 2nd Rounder for the Sapps ( no pun intended) who are going to actually want this BUM!
even if he comes back, he still owes the Dolphins the $8.6 mil....his contract stated very specifically that if he holds out of camp at anytime for any reason, or if hes suspended at anytime for any reason, hes in breech of contract and all his incentives and signing bonus money must be returned....furthermore, he remains under contract with the original deal he signed with the Saints, which calls for very low yearly salaries....at this point, he owes the money reguardless of what he does and is under contract to the Dolphins for several more seasons at near the league minimum....by saying he wants to come back, but just for a year, he ruins his trade value, my gut feeling is that you wont ever see Ricky Williams in the NFL again, you can see him down at McDonalds though on south beach, hes the one thanking you and prompting you to drive thru....
