Doesn't make much sense to me, the Wizards are already struggling to find shots for Arenas, Jamison and Butler, so adding another 'swing' player who doesn't play defense won't work. I read the Wizards are trying to find a defensive player to replace Hughes. So far Antonio Daniels has not met expectations and they are entertaining offers for him.
I don't think it makes sense for the Knicks or the Wizards. Atkins can score, but he's more of a one-dimmensional three-point shooter. We can use a good shooter, but in return we would sacrifice a lot of defense. From what I have seen, Atkins is a terrible defender and being 5-11 doesn't help him. Jeffries is a good defender and is very athletic, but I don’t think he’s exactly what we’re looking for. I think this team needs a small forward who can light it up from outside and play good defense. Jeffries isn’t that, and despite Q’s production this season, I think we can get more value for him. The only way I would accept this trade is if the Wizards give us a first rounder.
I don't like the trade either!! if the knicks are going to deal Q.Rich, they have to get someone with more qualities and more skills than him.If not.....don't trade him....
