Queiroz is being stupid and has got very carried away by saying Ronaldo is better than Zidane. Henrys won the fa cup and leagues for Arsenal on his own and yet he isnt in the same class as Zidane. Also ive seen Zidane at Bordeaux when he was 21/22 and he was exceptionally good and even better than Ronaldo at this age. I remember in 1996 when Zidane single-handedly destroyed the great Milan consisting of Baresi, Maldini and Boban. Zidane was the heart-beat and orchestrator of a football team and lets not forget how imperious Zidane was at Old Trafford in champions league for Real a couple of years ago. Ronaldo will only be compared to Zidane if he can show in Europe consistently for a number of years and right now in European competition Ronaldo has gone totally missing and ive seen him struggle immensely against class defenders like Clichy, Ashley Cole (who mimicked to the Utd fans at Old Trafford that he ahd Ronaldo in his bakc pocket)and Clichy and it seems European defences know how to play against him. Also Ronaldo would have to win the world cup and european championship on his own for his country to be even mentioned in the same league as Zidane. Quiroz is adding extra preassure on the lad and its irresponsibly stupid.
I disagree. Ronaldo wont really be bothered about any pressure. Portugal not exactly as good as France, but they can be in the future with there young talent so he could possibly do it at that level, well he already has but win something. As for the cl, he was the best player home and away to Benfica. And he set up the goal for Larsson v Lille. 4 assists in the cl this season second highest in the comp. So hardly going missing. And maybe cq is right? Zidane had a lot, but hardly got Ronaldo's pace Figo same you could say Ronaldo is tall, strong, skillful, quick, two footed etc etc has everything
Well Quiroz should mention it when Ronaldo has been a central figure and more or less single-handedly led his club and country to the world cup, european championship, champions league trophy and finals and many league titles just as how Zidane did. I dont take experts statements seriously..i mean Sven called Rooney as being a much better footballer than Roberto Baggio is his heyday or Pele calling Nicky Butt as the best player of 2002 world cup
Yeah but obvisley Queiroz is going to be a bit biased on that subject with a guy he works with and likes so much also it might be in his head that Ronaldo is better than Zizzou but your right Zidane was the heart of any team he went to and thats why Real Madrid have fallen apart this season they cant get anyone to replace him.
If i was the Arsenal manager and i had a choice between C.Ronaldo and Zidane in his Prime then it would be Zidane. Imagine him and Fabregas playin together!!!
