The Cavs owe the Suns a first round pick, lottery protected. The pick has no deadline whatsoever. Is there a way that the Suns and Cavs can work out a trade to get the protection lifted? What deals do you believe would interest the Cavs enough to get rid of the protection?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Drew Gooden:</div><div class="quote_post">The Cavs will be in the lottery for a long time.</div> I very much doubt that,I predict they will be in the playoffs next year or the year after. They just need time to get more experience. The latest trade should at least help in that area as well.
playoffs? The Cavs are 8-19 after these last two wins and as crazy as it sounds they're only 5 games out of the 8th spot in the east! It's a long season, if the new guys keep bringing the defensive intensity and hustle the Cavaliers could suprise some people. I actually wouldn't mind if Phoenix got our draft pick if it meant we made the playoffs because I think the last thing the Cavaliers need is more young players. Plus I think the Cavaliers get Toronto's draft pick unless they totally tank and miss the playoffs.
