how come he hardly shoots? I'm just wondering... also do you think this is his last season in the league?
He hardly shoots because he has accepted his role of a role player with the Pacers. I would love to see him stay another season. He's still in good shape.
i know he's a roleplayer now but he has these wide open shots and never takes them... He takes them somtimes..
Reggie is the one who opens up the floor for JO to operate down low. He is a role player but one of the most important ones.
The reason for this..Is..The offense has been averging 98 points a game in the last week or so..Their transition game has picked up..And they are working the ball..Moving the ball around..Instead of just if your open shoot it..This is why the pacers offense has been MORE productive..He doesn't need to force his shots and he knows that..He is a great role player...He knows when and when not to shoot..And most of the time shooting when he is open 3 balls is not what the team needs..And as a result of that..The team has upped it's foul line attempts %..And the offense has been so muc more fluid...That is why he hasn't been jacking up 3's because it hurts the offense..Peace!
Reggie is still capable of hitting the game winning shot but he will retire either at the end of this year or next year.he just isnt the same reggie.i mean he had a chance for a game winning shot one time inn a game i watched but it was all air!
Reggie has had a great career. But all great players get old, and that's where Reggie is now. The year Jalen Rose edged him for the team scoring lead signified the lessening of his role on the team, and he hasn't led the team in scoring since then. But he's still a big part of it, no doubt about that. Reggie could go another year, maybe two, but I think he'll stop after next season. All the players of his era have retired or are retiring soon, for the same reason, that they're not as effective as they're used to being. With how good the Pacers are right now, I think that he's gonna wait around to see how the season comes about. If there's another first round exit its likely that he'll call this season his last, but if they make at least the second round(and they likely will) he'll probably wait around for one more. After that I think he'll call it quits, though I'm sure he hopes the Pacers can get a title in these next two playoffs.
They just interviewed Reggie on Inside the NBA on TNT and he was asked what he would do if he won a championship, and he said that he will definitely retire once he gets a ring of his own. If the Pacers don't win a championship this year, he will definitely be around next year, frankly I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled a Malone/Payton and signed with the Lakers or something drastic like that just to win a championship.

He has stated numerous times that he plans to finish his career in Indiana, and I don't think he'd do otherwise. Still, a championship ring can do wonders sometimes...
What's wrong with GP going to the Lakers. Didn't he get traded to the Bucks last year. Anyways, he'll most likely retire a Pacer and he actually was in the top 10 plays couple of days ago with a dunk. Isn't he 39 already, he had a better dunk then MJ did at that age.
