if we dont make the playoffs this year, i think we will make em but if we dont, are we a lottery team? would we be able to get a pick in the top 20 this draft? its just i dont really know how the lottery system works, is it all teams that miss the playoffs, or is it different?

The lakers will have to have an epic collapse not be in the playoffs this year. Their pick will probably be in the low 20's, so they might be able to pick up a point guard like Acie Law.
