The Athletic is running a poll to see how Blazers fans are feeling about the Lillard trade and things associated with it. I thought we may as well piggyback on that and see how S2 fans' (the most ardent Blazers fans around) opinions are running. There are 12 questions in Quick's poll. Polls are tricky. I voted to prioritize the team first. But it is kind of like when we discuss who to draft, we want the best player available, but if the talent level is about the same, you choose the player that fills a position of need. In other words, Joe should try to accommodate Dame by trading him to Miami ....unless the return is much less than what he can get from another team. And if no other team is bidding for him and Miami chooses to lowball us....then you bring Dame back to start the season and tell Miami to fuck off.
Agree 100%. I'd take a 10% discount compared to other offers to accommodate sending Dame to Miami. I will not take a 50% discount.
Hold Dame but figure out a way to get him to Miami—which I think is what Joe is actually doing, but you could never publicly say it.
