Literally. “It’s 3 o’clock here—3 p.m.,” he says over the phone. “I’m in Poland.” His Southern accent is less pronounced than it was when he last graced the pages of SLAM, but it flares up when he gets excited, like when he talks about his kids or the prospect of finally coming home for the summer at the conclusion of another seemingly interminable season abroad. Good read. I remember one game I think he started at PG or something when we had an injury and we won. He had all the tools.
