Billy Plager D was one of three brothers who played in the NHL.......
all three played for the St. Louis Blues in the late 60s and 70s.
The Rangers traded him to St. Louis where he became a
    premier defenseman. R I P

Is Barclay still alive? He was the best of the 3.

^^^^No. Barclay died in 1988 at the age of 46. He was the oldest of
    the three brothers.

In those years the Rangers were horrible and a team with very bad luck.
Barclay Plager(D) and Red Berenson(C) were both obtained from the
Rangers in the 1967 expansion draft. These two led St. Louis to their
first Stanley Cup finals. As for the Rangers, they were near the bottom
    of the Eastern Division.
