Didn't see a thread for this so I thought I would post one. Joe "Jelly Bean" Bryant (Kobe's dad) died. It appears he had a massive stroke recently. Tough deal for his wife Pam to lose her husband just a few years after losing her son. RIP.

A member of the 1977 Philadephia 76ers team that the Blazers beat to win the title. Make no mistake, that team was STACKED. RIP.

Jelly Bean is such a great nickname for a professional athlete. And Kobe's mom was the sister of NBA player "Chubby" Cox. Which is even better, in a way.
