Wow, she was already 38 when I saw Goldfinger in 1964. She seemed younger. It was one of the most-promoted, glamorous movies of the year, considered the pinnacle of the whole Bond series. To be cast as a Bond Girl, you had to be an unsmiling actress. Bond and the villain were the top 2 stars of each movie, not the Bond Girl. But this movie was different. Magazine articles all had a risqué picture of her in a bikini, coated in gold paint.
I have always considered it to be the second best Bond movie ever. From Russia with Love is my all time favorite.
