Red did so much for this Boston Celtics organization, and he truly genuinly loved the game of basketball. Red was a great man, my heart goes out to his family.
He was one of the best coaches, scout, GM...just anything really with basketball. Atleast he went with tons of rings.
I'll never forget the countless standing ovations he'd get when he'd walk out to his seat that I was a part of. One of the best coaches ever, and a model person.Rest in peace, Red. We all loved you.

I have a book about him and the Celtics Organization overall. But damn, greatest coach in the history of basketball (dont care what ya say about phil). R.I.P. Red
Well, he's lucky he got to live this long, and see how the Celtics would grow. He did so many things for basketball in general, R.I.P Auerbach.
Damn....Red was one of the most important people in the history of basketball. He genuily loved the game and everyone that was involved in it. He brought in Bill Russell into a racially divided city at a time in this country where he caught so much crap for bringing in a black player. He's not only a man of basketball he's also a man of the people. He worked his ass off and has to be the greatest coach of all time. The man is the Celtics. 8 straight titles? That will never be accomplished in any sport ever again. I can't wait to see the tribute the C's have for him.
