Despite the Mavs fan I am, do you really think Dirk is leading the MVP category so far? I`m just wondering because he still hasn`t played that good defense as of late.

Even though KObe is having a bad record he is still leading his team.

    Kobe at #2? Good one.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Cash-Money:</div><div class="quote_post">Even though KObe is having a bad record he is still leading his team.</div>

So Garnett is leading his team, Duncan is leading his team, Steve Nash and Amare are leading their teams. I don't see what point your trying to get through.

    My top 3 would be:

    1. Kevin Garnett
    2. Tim Duncan
    3. Dirk Nowitzki

Kobe doesn't even crack top 5 since his team will most likely not get one of the top seeds in the west.

Last time I checked, those guys' teams had better records than Kobe's Lakers.

    9. Amare
    10. <insert candidate>

I have a bias towards Dirk but i cant put him at number 1, KG is just lighting up every category. I put Dirk 2nd because he is playing the best ball of his career, and is finally putting the Mavs on his shoulders and stepping out as a top 5 player in this league. Duncan is doing what Duncan does, no surprise really. Ray has been unconscious, he deserves to be right up there in the race. Wade, IMO, is in front of kobe because wade has done more and played better team ball than kobe. Kobe's team is still struggling, no matter how brilliant people may say he is. He is shooting under 40%, forcing shots, and not getting his teammates involved as much as he should. That is not what an MVP is about IMO. Nash and Amare take votes away from each other so i put them at 8 and 9. There are a slew of players who could be number 10 i just decided to forget about picking one. There is my list, enjoy.

That's ridiculous. How could you say something like that, but yet you have Kobe over Garnett for the MVP. Garnett team not only has the better record, but Garnett leads his team in virtually every statistical category. Garnett leads the T?Wolves in Points, Rebounds, Assists, FG%, Steals and Blocks.

Alright whoever has Kobe in the top 5... get real honestly...

    1. KG
    2. Dirk
    3. TD
    4. Amare/Lebron
    5. Wade
    6. Ray Allen
    7. Kobe
    8. Nash

Kobe isn't by any means at all doing better than the 2 top guards in the NBA right now, Wade and Lebron. Him and Ray allen are debatable, since right now Ray Allen is on fire.

Kobe's shooting 40% which is miiles below Wade and Bron. Plus Wade and Bron have better overall stats and their teams are doing better. Kobe right now is the 4th best guard in the league.

    1. Duncan
    2. Garnett
    3. Dirk
    4. LeBron
    5. Amare
    6. Allen
    7. Kobe
    8. Shaq
    9. Nash
    10. Wade

My guess is that's what the vote would be, if it was taken right now. Personally, I think Steve Nash is more valuable to the Suns then Amare, but people tend to vote for the big scorers.
