There's no link yet, but he is. This sucks, but I guess it had to come sometime. He's a class act, and a great teacher. I definitely wish him the best of luck in life, and hopefully he'll join the Twins orginization someday in the near future.
He's been awesome for the past few years. Oh well. Good luck in the future. We still have the greatest pitching staff in the MLB without him though.

Well if Silva can get to what he was last season. And if Baker can progress this off-season, and we can get a good #5, we'll arguably have the best in the bigs. But that's three if's, so I'm not sure. Buy yeah, we definitely have the best 1-2 punch.

But in the end I think Garza will have to wait until end '07 to get called up. Twins do give their pitchers minor league expirience. Garza is a stallion though (13-4, 1.95 era combined in A, AA, AAA this year, and something like 142 k's in 123 innings). Garza threw a complete game shutout (three hitter) on Tuesday and Gardy wanted Ryan to call him up right there. It was the first shutout in Red Wings history. I can't wait for Garza to get called up, he's one of my favorite pitchers we got in the minors (Justin Jones and Anthony Swarzak are also going to be stallions). But here's a crazy idea I thought of. Kerry Wood is a free agent after this year. If we could get Wood for cheap (2-4 mil) I think we should sign him to a 3-4 year deal. Sure he's injury prone to the extreme, but maybe a change of scenery would be good for him, and we wouldn't have high expectations for him. Just get him in there at the #3-5 pitcher, and if he get hurt, oh well, we can just trade him for some no-name spects and turn them into superstars like usual. I think it'd be worth the risk. I know it won't happen (Terry Ryan doesn't know what signing free agents mean), and Wood won't be cheap even with his injured past, but if this did work, that'd be sweet lol.
Rumor has it they have offered Glen Perkins and another AA pitcher to Milwaukee for Carlos Lee.
