Is that what I just heard on the telecast? Ugh.

Well, hopefully his wrist will heal up. He hasn't done much lately anyway.

He has been simply horrid the past few weeks, I would actually prefer he take a month off and get fully healthy. It is vital that he be fit and firing come the playoffs, absolutely vital.

That is bad news! But I hope Wilkins can suprise a little bit - I think he may get some minutes in some games...

I'd like to see if Wilkins can be a guy who can stay in front of the other teams' 6-6 athletic guy, which we don't have right now.

In theory maybe, but I don't see Damien getting anything other than a few scrap minutes at the end of a game. I'd like to see him involved as I think he can be that defensive hustle perimeter guy we've lacked, but I can't see him being introduced into the rotation at this late stage.

It looks as though Flip will take Vlad's place in the second rotation, somehow, and hopefully he can get some minutes under his belt in time for the playoffs.

Still, you never know as the evil professor Nate McMillan will do anything he can to jeopardise the hero Flip's chances of ever succeeding in not only basketball, but life as well. Mwahaha says Nate.

He has been playing the past 11 or 12 games with a fractured leg!!! He has a hard cast on the darn thing now...he thought the injury was to soft tissue and was ignoring it according to the Tribune. Well, we needed him for a couple of the wins since the break, so I won't complain that he could have got the cast on a few weeks ago to be 100% ready for the playoffs....

When the playoffs arrive it will be very ironic that the player who Nate has been sh*tting on the most will be the player that he will be looking to to save the season.

I didn't want Flip's opportunity to come at the expense on an injury but considering that it was his injury (and Nate's irrational thinking) that has kept him on the bench it may be poetic justice. This season gets more and more interesting as the games go by.

A setback is a set up for a comeback. Flip's comeback begins in the spring of 2005. I'm still convinced that he is the best guard in the league 25 and younger. I'll let him do the convincing when he gets the minutes.

There is that kid called Dwyane Wade.

I'll assume you see LeBron as a forward, too.

Uh-oh. My jaw is still recovering from the last time he said Flip was better than Wade.

I'm not excluding any guard under 25. There isn't a player in the league that can stay in front of Flip of stop him from getting a high percentage shot.

I do not get caught up in any media hype. I've been watching basketball long enough to know that the only thing a player can control is what they do wih the opportunity they are given. All of the players that you guys will mention have all had the opportunity to succeed and the opportunity to fail. Flip has gotten neither in his short professional career.

It's only speculation but if anyone of those players were under the same short leash as Flip we would be wondering if they had what it takes to be stars in this league and we'd probably reopen the argument as to whether or not they should have gone/remained in college. We need only to look at these young stars performances in the Olympics to remind everyone that anyone can be humbled by a coach with an agenda.
