Nadal took control at the start of his 6-2, 7-5 win over American Taylor Dent on Wednesday. The top-ranked player allowed only nine points while winning the first four games. Djokovic overcame a lapse in the second set and beat fellow Serb Viktor Troicki 6-3, 7-5.
