<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Cleveland Plain Dealer)</div><div class='quotemain'>James finished with 38 points and 11 rebounds but it was his two late 3-pointers that held off the Pacers' surge. His first 3-pointer gave the Cavs an eight-point lead with 3:35 left, but the Pacers cut the Cavs' lead to four with 1:40 left. James then nailed his second late trey for a 100-93 lead and the Cavs held on for the victory -- their seventh straight over the Pacers. It was the Cavs' start that led them to the win. Varejao's start was especially key to the victory -- and to his confidence. He finished with 15 points, 16 rebounds, four steals and a career-high six assists. His effort was important because Bulls rookie Joakim Noah outplayed him Thursday in Chicago. Noah dominated the inside with 13 points and a career-high 20 rebounds. Varejao finished with four points and 10 rebounds. On Saturday, Varejao was determined to reverse Thursday's fortunes. "I planned to come out early and do whatever I could to help myself," Varejao said. "I wanted to bring back that confidence and do whatever I could to help the team. I wanted to do everything perfectly, from setting picks, to rebounding, to playing defense." Thanks to some help from James, Varejao got into an early rhythm and that led to one of his best games in weeks. His 12 first-half rebounds were one shy of tying the arena record for rebounds in a half. James said it has been tough for Varejao since the ankle sprain. "If he's not at full strength, it takes away from his energy and from some of his athleticism because that's all Andy," James said. "But he played well. He was able to settle down. I got him the ball early and I know it was a burden off his chest to finally play well."</div> Link It was a really good performance from Andy but, in all fairness, Indiana's frontcourt is not the hardest to dominate. Still, it's good to see him playing well, and hopefully he can build some momentum into the playoffs.
I dunno. In Foster, they pretty much have a designated rebounder and defender. Those kinda guys are not always easy to go up against, and if Varajeo was matched up with him, then you gotta give him props for that. Delonte's performance that game can't be overlooked either. With Gibson out, he's stepped in and done pretty damn good.
