Does anyone else believe both Portland and Boston could benefit from a trade moving Rahim to Bean Town? Boston desperately needs a big body who can play in the paint, a player in which shooters like Pierce, Payton, and Welsch can play off of. Rahim would benefit too, his game would once again thrive in the under sized Eastern Conference and a trade could help him emotionally - no doubt getting him out of Portland would be best for his mental state. The only problem I see would be matching up the salaries. Perhaps Ricky Davis and Raef LaFrentz for Shareef Abdur-Rahim could be promising for both franchises. Portland, looking to get more youthful and fast paced. Than Boston looking to obtain more size and perhaps aquiring a teacher for young bigmen like Jefferson and Perkins wouldn't hurt either.
Boston in need of a servicable 3 or 4 would benefit much from this trade. They would get a 18 and 9 guy, and give up a problem child, and a guy who hasn;t lived up to his potential yet. Portland would get someone to give Zach some time off, and a quality starter or backup at the 2 spot. This would be a good deal for both teams IMO.
