What about bringing in Martz? He'd be like a kid in a candy store...

Finally he got fired. A lot of coaches are getting fired this season. Next to go is Jeff Fisher.

Fisher isn't going to get fired. If another one goes it'll be Mike Mularkey.

Fisher will and deserves to stay.

A friend at work said that Tice is perfect the Raiders gig especially w/ the ticket scalping and love boat incident. I was reading somewhere that w/ all the firepower in Oakland that Martz would be the ideal candidate for this job.

I can't remember the last time Norv Turner got an honest to God TRUE chance to be a head coach. Everywhere he goes he seems to get screwed by crazy owners and/or bad luck.

Looks like it's back to being an assistant for another 3 or 4 years until his next lame duck chance comes along...

A friens of mine at work, who is a Raiders fan, said that Tice is perfect for the Oakland gig with the Ticket scalping and love boat incidents.

I should know... I spent almost 25 bucks in sweet factory and barely ate all of the candy... Too... Much... Candy...

BTW, Martz would be a pretty good fit with the Raiders. Since he is an offensive guy, he has Moss, Jordan, and possibly a new QB. He can shape up the offense in less than a year.

Pete Carroll will not go to the NFL, and I don't see the Texans going with Tice...

Tice seems like the ideal coach to go after for the Texans because even though he's not a great coach, he's still a big improvement over Dom Capers and he'd be easy enough to get since the owner is doing every damn thing he can to get this team better. If it's not Tice they get then Steve Mariucci would be my second guess. The Pete Carroll to the Packers team prediction was because the only thing I could think how Sherman got fired is that they were interested in a better coach if it's not that then it's because the Packers GM is incrediblely stupid and GM's usually arn't stupid because if they were, they woulden't be GM's. Is Pete Carroll not going to the NFL a fact or is that just your opinion?

I believe he said at some point that he wants to stay at USC, although I could be wrong on that.

There is no way that Tice will get a head coaching job. He'll get an assistant coaching job. The Texans will announce pretty soon that Dan Reeves as there new head coach. I'm surprised that everyone forgot what Dan Reeves is doing for the Texans.

I'm not sure any of those guys are even said to be going to one of those teams. Carroll won't go to GB. Thompson fired Sherman because he wants to get his own guy.

Turner won't get another job at least for a couple of years..
Chiefs are either going Saunders or Herm Edwards. Sherman will get a job whether it's this year or next year but I don't think his name has been linked to KC.

Who knows with Al Davis?? I think Hasslett will end up there for some reason and Mike Tice won't coach again for at least a year.. I think not only does he want a year off but he needs a year off.

Golly gee wiz (<-- this was edited by VF), I suck ass when it comes to offseason predictions. All of my opinions are based on just people I can picture coaching for.
