The weather heavily affected day two at the AEGON Classic today with matches unable to be played on Centre Court or Court 1 due to the heavy rain.

Play was possible on Courts 2, 3 and 4, and commenced at 2.45pm on Court 3 and at 4.30pm on Courts 2 and 4, but with continual rain interruptions only three matches were able to be completed as organisers battled with the weather.

Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak saw off her Australian opponent Alicia Molik 7-5 6-1 while American Vania King beat Belgian Kirsten Flipkens 6-4 6-0. Ayumi Morita from Japan was victorious over Maria Elena Camerin from Italy 6-2 3-6 6-2.
