I;m going to take Caron because he can do more, Raja is a way better defender but offensively he's really only had two good seasons, last year with Utah and this year obviously with Phoenix. Caron's younger and has shown he can be a solid player, his only bad season was his 2nd year with Miami.

He just has a beast mentality, every coach in the NBA would love to have him on their team. His jumpshot is way more improved since his Heat days, he's actually a decent defender, and he's still only 25 with more room to improve. Raja is a good defender, but his offensive arsenal isnt as loaded as Caron's. Not to mention Caron is MONSTER on the boards, he had 20 boards the other night against Cleveland in Game 6. He's only 6-6.

I'll take Caron easily. He is an underrated defender, he's tough (not to say that Bell isn't), but his offensive game is much better. Raja is a decent shooter, but he can't really create for himself, and Caron has a midrange game.

Caron Butler, without question. This guy can do it all, and quite frankly he has taken Marion's spot as the most underrated player in the league, in my eyes.

I like Caron Butler too. He's a solid around palyer. He's very agressive, gets on the boards, has a decent jumper, plays solid defense, and gives it his all everytime he plays. Bell may be a better defender, but that's about all he has on Caron.

Caron Butler. I like both of them a lot, but Butler is a much better offensive player, as well as a pretty good/underrated defender. He played LeBron pretty well when he had to in the 1st round too. But Caron gets my vote because of the wide margin offensively, plus his athleticism and ability to play defense as well (maybe not as good as Bell, but still can play defense).

I'd take Bell because of his defense and great outside shooting. Great role player to have.

Butler is an even better role player to have. He's almost as good of a defender, but a much better offensive player. He can shoot just as well as Bell, but he can create his own shot.

I'd take Caron Butler. Caron is still about 23 or 24. He is the better offensive player, he can take it to the hole better, and is still a great shooter. He is often overlooked as a great young player. Bell is a great defender but Caron is a good defensive player as well. Pretty easy choice IMO

Caron might be a more skilled player but all I want from my role players is great outside shooting and great defense. Caron is more of a scorer than a role player.

What? so you'd rather have a shooter than scorer that can shoot? that makes no sense.

I just would rather have a defensive stopper and 3 point shooter over a scorer. It is easier to build around. Caron isn't as bad of a shooter as I thought but still not a great shooter.

Caron Butler is a better pure scorer. Caron Butler is better at creating his own shot. Caron Butler is a better rebounder. Caron Butler is a comparable defensive player.Caron is a better scorer by far, and an equal defender. The media hype around Bell was justified, he is a good defender, but Butler is every bit as tough, dedicated, and good defensively

The lakers sure didn't miss his game along with the Wizards losing in first round. He can score but I don't think his defense is that good though people say differently.

What does the lakers making the playoffs w/o caron have to do with anything? Caron is the better player, without a doubt. Butler is a pretty good defender and a much better scorer. He's still a good shooter (not quite as good as Bell), but he can actually create for himself, and he has a great midrange game.

Caron Butler, because of his offensive ability, he can shoot, dunk, drive, and post. Raja may be a better shooter, but Caron's overall offensive game is better. His defensive ability is underrated, he's a pretty good defensively. I also, Caron's tougher and stronger than Bell

Like I said it depends on what your team needs. If you need a scorer than Caron is your man but if you already got plenty of scorers and need a role player that doesn't take many shots than I'd go with Bell.

A 3 point role player is easier to find than a player like caron butler.... I think he is better defensively than raja bell from what i see.Raja bell is special because of his defense also but still........ not overall better than butler is. The only thing keeping me from degrading him is the fact that he helped my fantasy teams destroy other teams being one of the underated<--in fantasy league Raja bell Ray allen and Mike james.... i remember those 3 point categories i always won. Butler is better.Sonics would need butler spurs wouldn't need him they would need bell instead.. due to spurs type of play so i feel u on that mavsfan that it kinda depends on the need of the team. The suns would do worse with caron butler instead of bell
