I've been watching some highlights of him, and i had no clue how athletic he was. The kid can throw it down. And according to Bill Simmons' sources, Rondo "DESTROYED" Foye and Williams in workouts. I don't, BCB just may be right about this kid. Let's hope so.EDIT: Interesting: He set his high school record with 27 assists in a game, then broke his own record with 31 assists. WOW.
One big problem Rondo has is the fact that he has NO jumpshot. He will have to develop that part of his game if he wishes to become a complete player in this league.
I always knew that would be a problem. But he can definitely get his points. He runs the floor very well, he can get out on the break. And a jumpshot is something a player can develop. He has the right tools for a pg (quickness, ballhandling).Although i must say, from what i've seen, he does NOT seem like the "true" pg he has been shaped out to be. he has a scorers mentality, he's not an extraordinary passer. He'll be a good back-up. He and Tony Allen will be huge spark plugs off the bench this year. I'm loving it.
