Rakim going solo now? I loved the old school Eric B & Rakim. "Microphone fiend". Now that's when rap was good in my opinion.

I know, I was thinking the same thing Iggy. Nah, he emailed me last week and we'll likely have the interview completed shortly. With camp starting in about 2 weeks he's pretty busy. At least he was apologetic because he could of been a prick to us and not responded back at all.

Speaking of hip-hop, I just went out and bought the new Classified album on a hunch after listening to one song (Find Out). Crazy stuff. With him, Cadence Weapon and Kardinal still going strong, Canadian hip hop could be back on the rise.

Well, after Joyful Rebellion, there wasn't really a great album until Kardinal's Fire & Glory last year. I've just been recently turned on to Classified and Cadence Weapon, but generally, the rap scene in Canada has been crap. Where have the Rascalz been?

Anyone can make any good Canadian suggestions rapper-wise? No Chuckie Akenz please.

Choclair's "Let's Ride", and the Rascalz "Top of the World" and "Sharpshooter" are perhaps the only Canadian rap songs I've actually liked.

K-Os is not bad...and he's Canadian. Not a huge fan of Kardinal, but Cadence is sick.
