Calderón: We Are Not Selling Anyone In January

QUOTE

Ramón Calderón has dismissed the idea that Real Madrid wil be looking to off-load several players or bring any in during the winter transfer window in January.
The Bernabéu club president was reacting to a report in Marca that upto six members of the first-team squad would be allowed to leave on loan or permanently. Among those tipped to leave were Mahamadou Diarrà, Julio Baptista, Javier Saviola, Roberto Soldado, Royston Drenthe and Jerzy Dudek, but Calderón refuted the story. "It is a barbarity to say that we are going to sell six players halfway through the season," he fumed. "It is impossible, but not because it cannot be done, but because there is no common sense in it." As well as not allowing vast numbers to leave, Calderón admitted that there has been no talk of strengthening the Madrid squad in January either. "There will be no new signings in the transfer window," he continued. "That is not the plan. We are happy with the squad that we built in the summer and we think that we have all we need to complete our objectives. "There is a real desire among the coach and the players that has not been there for a very long time. "I have a feeling that there are people that want to cause problems where there are none."
