<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Rams add veteran defensive tackle FiskBy Len PasquarelliESPN.comIn a move that provides much-needed veteran experience at a perilously thin position, the St. Louis Rams on Wednesday reached a contract agreement with unrestricted free agent defensive tackle Jason Fisk, an 11-year veteran who played for the Cleveland Browns in 2005.St. Louis has been in discussions with the representatives for Fisk and another veteran free agent tackle, Grady Jackson, for several weeks. The Rams begin a three-day minicamp on Friday and Fisk will sign the one-year deal when he arrives.Financial terms of the contract were not immediately available.Fisk, 33, has played in 166 games and started 108 contests with four different franchises. He started 14 games for the Browns last season and posted 50 total tackles and four quarterback pressures. For his career, the former Stanford standout has 498 tackles, 19 sacks, seven forced fumbles and five recoveries.A seventh-round choice of the Vikings in 1995, he played four seasons in Minnesota (1995-98) and then moved on to Tennessee (1999-2001), San Diego (2002-2004) and Cleveland (2005). Mostly aligned as a nose tackle in a 3-4 front in Cleveland last year, Fisk is more comfortable in the 4-3 scheme the Rams will employ under coordinator Jim Haslett, and that was one reason he decided to sign with St. Louis.Fisk has told friends that this will likely be his last NFL season.St. Louis lost two of the top three tackles from its 2005 rotation, Ryan Pickett and Damione Lewis, as unrestricted free agents this spring. The backups before Fisk was added included two young players who had totaled just 20 appearances and 12 tackles, third-round draft choice Claude Wroten of LSU and an undrafted college free agent. For much of the offseason, the Rams have been seeking a veteran to fill the No. 3 tackle role behind La'Roi Glover and Jimmy Kennedy.Len Pasquarelli is a senior NFL writer for ESPN.com. I was going to post this too, but I decided not to. Depth doesn't hurt. Maybe he'll even challenge Kennedy for the NT spot?
