How many championships do you think the St. Louis Rams would have won if Dick Vermeil had stayed on as their coach?

I know they would have won that New England Superbowl and I honestly think they could have taken three, total. Face it...Mike Martz is a putz.

    What do you guys think?

I cannot stand Mike Martz, Vermeil is the man he had an awsome team in St. Louis and I dont think his D would have crumbled against the pats in that game, Im not sure if they would have won or not but I bet it would have gone into OT.

I think they would have won one more than they did. Not sure on any more beyond that. I think he got a little lucky to hit it big with a scheme and a player, both at the right time. That window would have closed a little whether he was there or not, but I think he would have gotten one more.

I think they win more, if they also could have kept Martz. I think he is a great O.coordinator. He would have been hired away though.

Their D wasn't the reason they lost... It was Martz's refusal to use the best running back in the game (at the time) in the second half. If Faulk would have gotten 25 carries, they win.

Holmgren made the same mistake in the Green Bay/Denver Superbowl. He didn't run in the 2nd half and the defense got tired.

    Amen.

To be nice, MM is an above average offensive co-ordinator

The defense did fall apart in that last drive though, they weren't able to step up and keep the pats back, We'll I guess the Panthers did to though.
