http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1624403 Zach Randolph was found guilty for underage drinking. He wasn't fined much at all, he was find $1, yes $1, by the judge and $134 for court expenses. He will also have 60 informal probation. This wont help changing the image that the new staff set out to do. Randolph was 20 when this happened, hes now 21.
Haha, I find this hilarious. Wanna know why? I drank with him once at my cousins party on the State campus last year! No joke.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">No wonder this is Riot_Starter's team, fits perfect, drama. j/k (not)</div> Haha I can see the humor in that. But seriously, this is ridiculous. The Blazers get so much unesscessary critisism for the things that they do. The actions of Kobe and Shaq are often forgotten within a month (Reggie Miller vs. Kobe, Shaq vs. Dudley, etc), but people dwell on the Blazers' past forever. Brent Barry sipped a fans' beer DURING a game!! Do the sonics have a bad rep? In my mind, the Blazers do nothing worse than any other team in the league. They just aren't intelligent enough to avoid getting caught. Do you honeslty believe that Sheed and Mouse are the only players who smoke weed?
This only received attention because he is on the Blazers. Sheed & Mouse are definately not the only players. I've seen Odom blazing numerous times in the corner of the clubs. I've seen Sean Rooks on ectasy and acting like a typical idiot. I think all sports has its fair share of substance abuse problems. I just find it ironic the media brings attention to this type of behavior and lashes out at NBA players for being role models. However, if they didn't write stories like this and make the players marked targets there would never be any controversy over it. I always felt what the players did in their personal lives should be kept private and only brought to the public if that player wanted to address it. Unfortunately, negative news sells, especially if a celebrity is involved. I really could careless if Randolph has been drunk eventhough he's under the legal age. I'm sure a lot of us have done it, and unless he's out driving and putting anyone in danger this story should not have been published.
Yeah I'm actually reading back now. Some funny stuff right here. The same ol shit. Us fans arguing on the talent and who isn't playing or being fully played. And then you have the defenders of the ones fans of the playing time and others telling them they need to learn then post. It's quite amazing to look back and see things and people acting the same. I wonder if that's a good or bad thing?
