NEW YORK -- Forward Zach Randolph missed the Knicks' game against the Miami Heat on Sunday night following the death of his grandmother.

Randolph learned of his grandmother's death late Friday night and returned to Indiana on Saturday. New York begins a four-game western trip Tuesday, but isn't sure when Randolph will rejoin the team.

"We'll give him as much time as he needs, whatever he needs from our organization," Knicks coach Isiah Thomas said. "Very difficult time for him, our prayers and our best wishes are with him and his family."

Randolph has had double-doubles in all four games and is averaging 20.3 points and 13.5 rebounds.

    May she rest in peace.
