No!!!! Well okay, we'll take Harrington for him. Does a guy like Wojo even realize that we unloaded Harrington last year?
I wouldn't. And I like David Lee, he's solid, but he's not a difference maker, Randolph has that ability IMO.
This is ridiculous. We don't even know what Randolph could do and already the Warriors are tired of him. If he gets traded, then chalk up another farm system stud who goes to another team. I heard a rumor tonight that we're going to trade Randolph for another Randolph -- Zach Randolph. Uggh! Nope, even though I want David Lee on the Warriors. I'd give up Andris Biedrins for David Lee. But there's a better David Lee on the horizon if we could get him -- Kevin Love.
Jeez, could the Warriors be any dumber? Randolph, the guy who fell into their lap last year and they're already tired of him? Kawakami was right, first Randolph and the next guy they will be dissatisfied with will be Curry. Pretty soon, it will be the new version of the Knicks with Starbury and Francis, only it will be Monta and Rudy Gay, Yippee!!! Wait someone needs to rebound and play defense? Oh but what about the scoring, isn't that exciting? NO.
Anthony Randolph has an attitude problem? I thought he and Morrow were like the only two players working hard on their games over the offseason? Does the team not like players who rebound? He leads the team in rebounds but still only plays 22 minutes a game. This franchise is a joke. Put some faith into your players. Unfortunately they either do not care about their players or they just decide to put a lot of money in place of this faith. Then again, I guess it is not a bad thing to see what you can get for each player. But if it's Randolph for a scrub, then I don't know what they are wasting their time over. I just think Randolph would be such a good fit with this current team. First let's get him in as a starter once in a while. Curry/Ellis/Morrow/Randolph/Biedrins would be pretty dynamic.
I'm not even sure if Chris Bosh would help this team. We're so lacking in talent that it's better to develop our own in AR, BW, AB, Monta, Morrow, Azubuike and Curry. We need to be patient and develop out players. Then if it does not work out, I would not mind a trade. At least, then we know what we got. I don't know why the Warriors think a trade is going to make them playoff contenders. It will take more than one trade, but a series of trades. That ain't gonna happen. The best we ever got was Baron on a team with some players already on it. We already gave up too many players for nothing in return -- Harrington, Crawford, Jackson, Belinelli, etc. If we wanted to make the one trade, we should have gave up Curry in order to complete the Amare trade, but Nelson blew that one.
What I realize about Randolph is that he's simply acting like a kid. He needs to realize that he's a professional. You can't just mail it in and not work on what the team needs because it's not what you do best. Nearly all of the bigs are out, you need to put your ego aside and focus on rebounding the ball. The points, highlights and accolades will follow. Nelly rides him because of this, and it looked like he was getting it before, but he gets frustrated so easily. I guess when I was 20, I probably thought I knew better as well. He wants to put the team on his back and dominate, but the time for him isn't now. If he bust his butt on the glass, and when Beans and Turiaf come back, he can get some freedom to do other things. It will only make him a better player. He sees Magette getting away with being lazy and wonders why he has to. This is why Magette needs to go as soon as possible.
Randolph should be pulling 2-3 boards more per game easily. That's just it. He thinks he's doing enough, yet he rarely boxes out. The guy pulls boards using his athleticism, but that gets him in foul trouble some times, because he has to reach. I'm telling you, if he just focused 1 entire game only on that, and let the game flow, you'd see what he could be doing on a night in and night out basis.
The Warriors traded Chris Webber and trading Anthony Randolph without knowing what he could do would amount to the same thing. If one reads between the lines, then one knows AR and Don Nelson are feuding behind the scenes (clue for the clueless: Radman and Mikki Moore (heel spurs) were the starting centers). I thought the Warriors had learned their lesson and was going with a youth movement. I mean why else would they trade their better players and keep Curry? The Warriors would trade a young Michael Jordan if they had him because of lack of talent. Jeez, I just keep losing interest in this team.
Houston has emerged as a potential suitor for Randolph. What trade scenario are you willing to live with?
I really doubt they move Randolph. The team needs to find him the right mentor though. Turiaf has tried to put him under his wing, but somehow it doesn seem like Randolph has taken to him. Perhaps it's just a change in coach. I really wish there was a way to get a guy like McMillan over here to coach. It seems like he'd be the perfect coach to lead the youth movement.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMvjmkv6j5M#watch-main-area Bosh is a stud and despite Randolph's upside I would do Randolph+Mags for Bosh in a milisecond, assuming we knew Bosh would re-sign. However, there's no way to guarantee that (see Boozer with the Cavs). He could promise Cohan that he will be a Warrior for life, only to bolt GS anyway in July. There's just NO way to ensure he stays. However, it's still tempting. Let's say Bosh stays -- having Curry/Monta/Azibuike/Bosh/Biedrins next year looks pretty crazy. Such a better fit than, say, even stoudamire, because of the defense and rebounding. Yes, Randolph could be a potential Bosh, but Bosh already is Bosh. 25 years old, averaging 25 points and 11 rebounds. Stud. Instant low-post scoring machine. Take the pressure off Monta/Curry. And a rebounding nightmare alongside Beans. Also, he's lean and athletic, which is good for this system, and good for a big man's longevity. Let's say he leaves. Yes, that would suck. But, at least on the bright side, we get rid of Mags! So there's a tiny bright spot. But, that's the only bright spot to Bosh leaving. Honestly, I don't know why Bosh would want to stay, unless GS can show him they will give him a new coach. Play for Nellie? I don't think Bosh would be crazy about playing Center next to 4 guards 6'5" and under. What big man would like that? I'm surprised Biedrins has lasted this long. he usually has to guard two opposing Bigs. Putting Maggette at the 4 is essentially asking you center to guard two big guys because Maggette is just a walking brain-fart. So Bosh wouldn't want to play Nellie's sick little game of having a center and 4 guards. That sucks for the big man. Stoudamire wouldn't want to play center either.
