Would they do it (to save $3M this year, 6.25M total)? Would we do it (to turn a 3rd string center into a backup SF)? Is he worth it (since he's been a headcase, and his PER has dropped every year)? Am I crazy for even thinking about this?
Beasly is one of those "hmmmm" players. Tremendous talent, just not all up there in the head. But... Sometimes swinging for the fences may include some headcases (Damon, sheed, etc) could take you over. I would really think about it
Beasly has shot worse every year of his career. The guy shows no want to improve his game at all and he is a grade-A dumbass. So as much as Freeland is a dud he doesn't screw with the teams chemistry.
Don't we pretty much know what Be-Easy is at this point? All I need to do is ask myself one simple question: "Would this player ever contribute to the Blazers winning a championship?" When I close my eyes and try to visualize this, I'm almost instantly wracked with maniacal laughter.
At least Freeland seems personable and somewhat likable and has absolutely no cause to grief about not getting PT.
