hey whats up everyone? First time post'er here and got a few things here ...

First off is the Artest rumors .. I'd love to see it but doubt it will happen, Indiana deserves a star player for him and we cant give them what they need/deserve.

Dampier would be great I think, Golden State I don't think is much of an inside team, they got good shooters/scorers and that stuff but he did a nice job, especially against us! I'd love to see a trade for maybe Shane (Who I Love And Hate To See Go) And maybe Bonzi, who I doubt they want.

As for my lineup I'd love to see it goes like this ...

    C-Dampier/Wright
    PF-Swift/Outlaw
    SF-Posey/Cardinal
    SG-Pierce or Bryant/Miller
    PG-J Will/Burks

But where is Gasol? I dunno about you guys but I think the guy is soft .. Every game I've went to, he has sucked it up big time, he is suppose to be our go to guy but honestly, he is third in line, behind Posey and J Will .. J Will isnt a good go to guy at all, but he is the leader of our team. I'd like to see a trade with Pau to send him off for maybe Ray Allen, Kobe or Paul Pierce, I love Swift's game and I think Swift would be better as a starter than a backup, he would have more confidence, Pau is our big trade bait and we should use him, before he leaves with free agency, he isnt a max guy but will probably get it somewhere like PHX or NYC

If Miami gets Shaq and since they lost Skip, they may need a PG, and everyone knows JW loves Eddie Jones ... Maybe keep Pau, trade Stro, and pick up Eddie Jones for J Will and Bonzi or whatever. Either way I'm looking very forward to this year and even though I moved to the bootheel of Missouri from Horn Lake I'll still be at the games you gusy can count on it!

Welcome to JBB! I hope you stick around. [IMG]

It would kill me to see the Grizzlies give up Shane Battier in a deal for Eric Dampier. The two are exact opposites. Dampier is rumored to be a lazy sack who just did well last season because it was the last year on his contract. I have a funny feeling that once he inks a deal with us, he'll start slacking off again. That may not be the case, but it's still a big possibility. With Shane Battier, you know what you're getting every night. There's no gambling with him. He's a player that could start on half the teams in the league. We're really fortunate to have him.

Where's Watson? I don't think Burks will get any playing time over Watson.

I agree with you that Gasol is soft, but he's also very young. There's still a lot of room for improvement. The first two and a half seasons that the Grizzlies were in Memphis, I hated Gasol. I called him all sorts of names, would yell out "Go back to the WNBA", and always think of trade possibilities for him. It's only this year that I realized how important to our team he is. Although he's lost us a lot of games by making stupid decisions, he makes up for it by consistantly putting up the best points per game and rebounds per game numbers on the team. Also, if we tried to trade him, I don't think there'd be much out there. Gasol is on his rookie contract, so he makes like 10 million less than Pierce and Allen. Maybe if you add Lorenzen Wright's contract to that trade then it'd work. That might actually be worth it.

I'd do that. We're deep enough at PG to do it, since we have Watson, Burks, and Bell.
