Randy Moss is calling it a career after 13 seasons in the NFL as one of the most dynamic and polarizing players the league has ever seen.

Moss' agent, Joel Segal, said Monday that the receiver was considering offers from several teams, but made the decision to retire. Segal declined to comment specifically on the offers, instead saying his 34-year-old client felt the time was right to step away.

"Randy has weighed his options and considered the offers and has decided to retire," Segal said.

I don't believe the guy. I think he will be back. He is just being a little bitch since he didn't get his way by going to NY

Agreed. He seems offended/embarrassed by the fact that hes pretty low on the list of desirable FA WRs. Uninterested in playing for most teams and I would be shocked if he was getting any substantial money being offered. Someone will sign him sooner or later, perhaps mid-season. He dug his own grave though and now hes got to lay in it.

I hope he's just having a diva moment.

Take a bad contract to play for a good team.

he's trash at this point of his career. he is still fast, but the effort is not there. he's only willing to run one route, one that can easily be shut down when you know it's coming.

He's a dumbass because he's been talking all this shit about being in the best shape of his life and willing to do whatever it takes to get back to form.

Yet he retires because he's not getting the money & respect he (feels he) deserves.

If you look at last season, I can see why teams are all set. He did ok at first, playing with Brady, and as the focal point of the offense. For a couple games, they used him successfully as a decoy, which he didn't like, so they said peace and gave him up for nothing. Vikings tried him out, they gave him up for nothing. Titans picked him up, tried him out, then pretty much benched him. 3 teams in one year all said "thanks but no thanks".
