If they play as listless as last night they will not only get beat bad on the scoreboard but they'll get physically manhandled all over the ice while Mr. bubblegum blows more bubbles.

In my opinion it's as close to a must-win as you can have in January. Maybe not a must-win, but must-play-well. I dont want to get smacked again, and then have Columbus dance on our grave this weekend as they set the record.

I don't understand about the not prepared statement..i think it was more a lack of effort and sluggishness. X and Os i think they know what they have to do game to game.

I thought they played a good road period. 8.5 milllion usually shows up against the flygirls. He played well. It's amazing that they haven't had a fully healthy squad all year and we are already in January.

The Rangers need to get healthy...period.

You can play for small stretches missing players and say next man up, but when you go WEEKS without 3 of your top 7 or 8 forwards you will feel that.

Ziban has missed 6 weeks and 22 games already.
Buch has missed 7 weeks and 31 games already.
Nash has played 3 games in a month and has missed 11 games.

You cannot overcome that over the long haul. Need to start getting these guys back. And I expect Nash back for CBJ or worst case after the bye week. Sounds like Buch will be back after the bye week, worst case misses 2 or 3 more games. And Ziban maybe misses 4 or 5 more games overall with the bye week after the CBJ game factored in. So getting close upfront.

Now we have Staal out on D, and they already said out against CBJ, so who knows. AV said back after the break, so maybe only 2 games, but we'll see.

If they can get 3 pts out of these next 2 that would be good. If Buch isn't back right after the week off then i don't know what they're doing with him.

Hold on to the puck for way too long when they have a chance to shoot. The only team that does this on the consistent basis. Pirri is pretty useless at this point. Other than that, they've played a good road game so far.

Kreids somehow outfights 2 flyers and manages to beat the goalie for number 16 and more importantly a 2-0 lead

Good bounce back win after last night's disaster. Maybe it was just me but watching on NBC you would've thought they were the Flyers home announcers.

Nice win for the Rangers. It's good to see the Offense stepping up. Off to watch Golden State after the Knicks lose yet again for their 6th straight. Why do I even bother???

NBC is a joke. Very few of their people have any love for the Rangers. Tough when NBC is the network for the NHL. Hard to listen to.

Very good win. Couldn't lose both tonight and at CBJ. Good to get these points and bounce back after a throw out no effort game against the Sabres. Few days off and tough CBJ game. Then a nice break and maybe some more health.

Hopefully Puempel can get over the constant concussion issues, as I think he's a very useful piece. I have a feeling it may dog him the rest of season.

You thought it was a funeral the way the whole NBC crew sounded after it became 4:1 God forbid, they play the pens. It will be way worse if it is even possible.

Buchnevich out this many games is absurd. I think the team basically realized he wasn't physically ready for the NHL yet. Either way. Good win. Team needs to commit to bringing Graves up now and get him as much experience as possible.

Didn't I read he ended up having a disc issue? Hopefully it was bulging and not herniated, but either way those are not good injuries at all for an athlete. They are like concussions in that you can feel fine, push it on the ice, and then wake up the next day almost incapacitated. The core strengthening around that is more accurately described as physical therapy exercises to push the disc back in so it stops pressing on nerves. Like I said, if it was bulging and not herniated he should be ok when he gets back and I'm not surprised it took this long. If it was herniated, one big hit and he's going to the operating table and we'll see him next year.

Clayton Kershaw was able to come back from a disc injury with no surgery after about 6 weeks last season, but obviously the physical demands on a pitcher are much different than those on a hockey player.

Said it from the day I saw that photo of him. He was not nearly ready physically to play in the NHL. So, better off he plays less until he puts on at least 25 to 30 pounds of muscle which is going to take a long time to do. Not sure why Graves hasn't been called up. They need to get him up here. I have zero confidence in Girardi or Klein for the playoffs. None whatsoever.

He can put on all the muscle he wants, until they can get the disc off the nerve he's not going to be able to do anything. Ironically when you have that type of injury it prevents you from moving any of the heavy weight you need to add significant muscle. And there is no way he is adding 25 pounds of muscle. You can give him 3 years he won't add that unless you start pumping him full of steroids.
