it really is 90% player responsibility and about 10% coach. the light has finally clicked on for Krieder. it's all about maturity. Krieder simply was not ready maturity wise last year or earlier this season. That's why he was demoted early in the season. Looks like he is finally turning a corner maturity wise. MDZ is now going through the same thing, we will see which way it turns for him. It will be up to him, not whether the coach benches him or not. As coach Keenan always said " the NHL is a professional league, not a developmental one ".
They have to Mess. 1 road game from now until Christmas. If they don't go on a big run now, they never will. This is the time for them to pretty much lock down a playoff spot. And hats off to Al as well. You will defend Torts no matter what happens. I give you credit dude, nicely done.
