Interesting post Pasta in that all of these guys will most likely be back except Richards. Girardi is at 5.5 mill per cap hit wise. He is back for sure. Stepan only gets dealt if it is for Spezza, Thornton, or maybe Kesler. Nash is back for sure. Staal is back unless Sather says no shot we can re-sign him. So most of these guys will be back outside of Richards who is gone for sure within 10 days.

The Girardi contract will become a problem in a few years, 6y or whatever was too long. I'd try and move Staal for a good 3rd line rfa in Tlusty and a prospect, then go after Niskanen. Let Falk go and bring back Diaz as the spare.
