After watching my sickening giants grab their 5th defeat from the jaws of victory I've had enough football for today. Looking forward to rangers getting untracked with Kreids getting a hat trick and Big Mac getting his first career goal.

    Mel's duo...:).

Need to win tonight. No excuses as this is a back to back for the Sens and we have been off since Thursday and are home. Have a vintage performance and win this game without having to sweat it out late.

BTW...Glass is here to stay. AV loves him again and thinks he has played so well in his two games:

Tanner Glass will remain with the Rangers when they leave for their trip to Western Canada this week. (Gross)

Alain Vigneault said that the team may call up an extra defenseman for the trip and if they do it won't be until closer to Wednesday's game so that they can save some money on the salary cap. (Gross)

The Rangers currently have $150,500 in cap space. (Hockey's Cap)

On Tanner Glass bringing an edge, "I think that part of winning games is being able to wear the opposition down. You wear them down in different forms, sometimes through great puck management and you never turn it over and you are always making them go back for pucks, sometimes it's about putting the puck in an area where you can finish a few hits and wear some defensemen down. Tanner, no doubt, brings us that physicality. In the two games since he has been back, I liked the one in Brooklyn, I thought they spent some time in the other team's end and they did a pretty good job. In the last game it was a different type of game, in the third period we had 50% of the time in their zone where they had 35% in our zone but we didn't get much out of it. There is no doubt, I have never shied away from saying how I like what he can bring but there still needs to be more there offensively and maybe the fact that he has gotten some big minutes in Hartford and got his hands going, maybe he will be able to help us moving forward."

In regards to Glass, it is what it is. Other than a catastrophic injury to Glass, did anyone REALLY think AV wasn't going to call him up to stay at the first chance?? He's AV's boy and AV would play him over Nash I almost feel like. It's ridiculous. To say Glass is going to bring in a forecheck presence is idiotic. He's doing to bring in bad play, an inability to finish in the ozone and awful penalties.

In regards to tonight's game...does anyone miss the net more than Kreider? Jesus. This kid couldn't hit water if he fell off a boat.

PP looked good there. Good luck movement and they threw it at the net and Kreider actually is right in front of the goalie's eyes for the first time this season.

Notice how both of our goals were scored...throwing pucks on net with people in front. Nothing fancy, not trying to be pretty, just shoot the puck on goal and good things can happen. Someone should also tell McIlrath that when he passed up a great chance. SHOOT the puck. Once again the evidence is there.

Excellent 1st period thus far. I like the aggressive way we are playing. I like how the D is playing. I like how McIlrath is jumping into the rush.

    Good stuff.

I think it is mainly Kreider...guy cannot hit the net. How can you miss the net as often as he does...unreal. He actually has a really good shot, but it doesn't mean sh*t because he cannot hit the net.

Rangers need to play in the Sens end more, a lot of play in the Rangers zone in the 2nd with the Rangers getting pinned in for long stretches. Seems like that has been a theme this season.

Big 3rd...cannot afford to lose this game, especially after leading 2-0.

This team just checks out mentally in the second period ALL THE TIME.

Excellent 3rd period. Very well played game tonight. Controlled the 1st and 3rd periods. Sens came hard in the 2nd, but that is to be expected I guess since they are a good team which has been playing well.

Overall I would call this a pretty vintage performance despite the hiccup in the 2nd period. Well done, now onto Western Canada. Hopefully we can take 2 of 3 at least.

Tonight the Rangers beat the Sens in regulation time at MSG.
Last time they did that was in 2009.

Good to see a D man in the scoring column.

Did anyone notice that when Glass got into an altercation,
no Ranger came into the fracas. I thought his team mates
    liked him?

A rested Ranger team helped greatly with tonight's outcome.
It was Ottawa who played tired tonight.

Now team goes to Western Canada on winning note.

    Wishing them well.

The Jets f'n suck. The reality is that within 3 years Eli will have his 3rd SuperBowl because the Giants keep getting high draft picks they have no business getting. That will eventually bring them a 3rd title. The Jets will still be looking for a QB and sucking. Once Reese especially is fired, the Giants will put it together. Not until that moron is g0ne. The Giants are a disgrace now. However, with sucking comes high picks.

As far as Glass. He freakin sucks. Gorton must save the team and get rid of this asswipe.

The positive from a Giants POV is Coughlin will 100000000% be fired after this season (actually I am sure he will "retire"). And 80% sure Reese will be gone also.

Some of the "decisions" Coughlin has made this season have been terrible...game has passed him by. His call to go for it on 4th and 2 yesterday was one of the worst "decisions" I have ever seen. Single handedly changed the whole game and gave the Jets all the mo.

Better draft pick here we come...how about a LB or a S...LOL.

Coughlin gone but mara already sent in the trial balloon thru serby that reese is safe….GOD DAMN IT. So if only coughlin goes we're still stuck with brain dead reese who despite drafting low lately due to the giants suckball record still needs by my count 2 de's, 1dt, 2 linebackers, a safety and a cornerback on defense alone. On offense they need either another guard or tackle especially if they cut ties with beattie, 2 rb's, a te and probably 2 receivers. This team is in full rebuild mode and even though they won't, should consider trading eli for assets and move up and draft their new franchise qb as there are a few out there this year. If reese stays mara will show no balls and giants will continue with their 6-10 to 9-7 records of mediocrity. Thanks for rubbing it in AL You suck!!! :smiley-bash:

Giants execute the play and its gsme over. Never mind the fact that they could have gotten a first down, 2 yards we are talking about.
Never mind the fact that the giants defense which should have been as full of energy being they were on the bench for what seemed like an hour, couldnt make 3 stops.
Lets say he kicks and is up 13...what makes you think the jets dont drive...which they did...and score 14 and you never get to OT.
    U go up 17 u win.
