    Diaz was a good spare, maybe a little better than Hunwick. I thought Bodie might push for that spot too.

    And Viktor Stalberg:

    The Rangers are going to sign Viktor Stalberg to a one-year deal worth $1.1 million. (Dreger)

    Stalberg, 29, is 6-3, 209 and has played 338 games in the NHL with 62 goals, 70 assists and a minus three rating.

    Stalberg played 40 games for the Maple Leafs in 09-10, 203 games for Chicago from 2010-2013 and 95 games for Nashville the past two seasons.
